Looking for Video Editors, Graphic Designers, Marketing Helpers

We are reaching out to ask for your help. The UCA social media committee is engaged in producing content to empower alliance members in promoting our shared belief in the one true God and his human son Jesus.

The weekly animated shorts are just the beginning.  But to reach the world with a diversity of content, we need passionate and committed co-laborers.  If you have time and expertise in any of these categories (video editing/production, audio production, social media marketing, generating memes, etc), please email media@unitarianchristianalliance.org and tell us what you would like to help with.

We have such a depth of talent within the UCA, and we want to turn that talent into a chorus of voices through the megaphone of the UCA.

And if your talents lie in other areas, you can help by amplifying the message, through sharing UCA content, and helping to defend our unitarian cause in a Christlike way on social media.

Together, we can spread this truth to the world.  For truly, “it is a truth who’s time has come”!

If you haven’t yet, please join our Facebook group and subscribe to our YouTube channel.

Here’s our latest video to give you an idea of what we’re doing.

First UCA Conference dates: October 16-18, 2020

The Board of the UCA is excited to announce that the first annual conference of the Unitarian Christian Alliance will be held in Nashville, Tennessee, October 16-18, 2020. The conference will start just before dinner time on Friday and will end at lunch time on Sunday. The Board is lining up an exciting slate of presenters, who will focus on unitarian Christian theology and biblical interpretation.

Come to network with other unitarian Christians, to continue thinking through important theological topics, and to be encouraged in your faith by friendships new and old.

The UCA’s events committee is hard at work on the practicalities of registration, housing, food, and transportation. Stay tuned for announcements about these in the coming months.

Focusing on our Mission

Since our launch we’ve had some great feedback from those excited to see this effort grow. We created the UCA to function as an advocacy group for unitarian theology and to serve as a directory for unitarian Christian groups and individuals. To do this properly and effectively, we must be clear and direct in what we are advocating.

One of the items on our affirmation was preventing some unitarian Christians from joining the UCA. It was in regard to Christ’s future return and establishment of the kingdom on earth. These individuals were willing to put their support behind the goal of promoting unitarian Christian theology, but they did not hold to the same views in regard to eschatology.

While this point about the future establishment of the kingdom on earth is a belief dearly held by each UCA board member, and one they view as central to their faith, the inclusion of this line in the affirmation falls outside the scope of the UCA’s focused mission. If our purpose was to establish a church or singular fellowship then we would do more than keep that line in the affirmation. We would add many more statements which we hold to be essential aspects of a Scripturally-based faith community. Emphasizing all essential theological elements of the Christian faith and life is indeed what a church should do. However, as we have hoped to make clear, the UCA is not a church.

As an advocacy group for unitarian theology, our purpose is to achieve a big-tent, influential movement that provides an alternative to what many churches and denominations have pressured people to believe about God and Jesus (or at least to say that they believe). The UCA therefore represents a unique effort, operating differently than what some might expect. Please understand that the UCA is not dismissing other doctrines as unimportant. The organization is simply focused in its mission to create new momentum around unitarian theology, reversing the tides of scorn heaped upon Christians for their unwillingness to elevate tradition over Scripture.

Being firmly committed to this goal, on January 27 the UCA Board voted to remove that eschatological line from the UCA Affirmation. We feel it is important to explain this change. It should not affect the current membership, since the affirmation is now simply more focused on our one God, the Father, and his human Messiah — the central affirmation to which every member has granted their support.

If you have further questions, feel free to Contact us. We’ve also updated our Frequently Asked Questions to explain in more detail what the UCA is. Specifically see “If it isn’t a church or denomination, what sort of group is it?

UCA Official Launch

The UCA Board of Directors is excited to announce our Official Launch over Social Media this week!

In honor of the launch, the Board has recorded a special podcast episode introducing the world to the work and mission of the Unitarian Christian Alliance.  Here we explain the how the UCA came to be, what community and educational needs the organization is addressing, and, most importantly, how YOU can get involved. We also discuss our plans for the first UCA Conference at the end of this year. You certainly won’t want to miss out on this information!

The podcast is being simultaneously featured on both the Trinities podcast (here) and the Restitutio podcast (here), and we encourage you to share this episode out to your friends and family and help us broadcast this exciting launch across all social media platforms.

Many months of planning and prayer have gone into this launch, the development of the website, and the many UCA projects currently in the works. And the Board would like to thank all of our sponsors and members for the support and donations which have made this work possible.  We hope you enjoy the podcast, and will ultimately consider becoming a Member of the UCA, and even a Supporting Member, and will stand alongside of us as we connect unitarian believers and proclaim the truth of ONE GOD throughout the world!

Many Blessings,

Kegan A. Chandler
Vice Chair, UCA Board of Directors

The UCA @ CONVERGE 2019

Last August, the UCA Board of Directors had the pleasure of attending the CONVERGE event in northeastern Ohio, where several hundred unitarian Christians gathered from around the world to celebrate the one God.  It was an absolute joy to fellowship with so many like-minded believers. Good food, great music, and top-notch speakers likewise made this an unforgettable weekend!

We were thrilled that the event featured representation from so many different unitarian denominations, organizations, and churches, including the Church of God General Conference, Spirit and Truth Fellowship, Christian Disciples Church, Living Hope International, CenterPointe Church, Living Faith Church, and many more.  Some individual attendees we met had never had the opportunity to fellowship and worship with fellow unitarians, and expressed how much the event meant to them and their faith.  And that sort of testimony is precisely why we are so excited about the work of the Unitarian Christian Alliance.

In light of the Converge event’s mission to bring unitarians together, we could think of no better place to introduce people to the UCA. And at our booth in the exhibition hall, we had the chance to speak to dozens of Christians about the organization and the opportunity it provides unitarian believers and groups to network, form communities, and promote biblical theology.  Needless to say, excitement was in the air and we were thrilled to help many of the attendees sign up right there at the booth!

Did you or your group have the chance to attend Converge?  Are you interested in meeting with other unitarian Christians for fellowship and study?  Be on the lookout for announcements from the UCA about new opportunities to do just that.

Many blessings!
