Description
This Group holds, in principle, that there is one Almighty God the Father, and there is Jesus God's Son (who is not Almighty God). Various opinions are acceptable as to what was Jesus' identity prior to his being born of the virgin girl Mary, who was a direct descendant of David, King of Israel, and recipient of the blessings of the Davidic Covenant; this made Jesus a legitimate candidate to reign as King of Israel, a dynasty that God promised would be eternal (2 Samuel 7:8-17; Psalm 89; 132:10-18; Mark 9:1; Acts 2:36; 1 Corinthians 15:202-28, et al).
Disciples of Christ are to accept one another without passing judgment on disputable matters or matters of opinion (Romans 14:1, 22), and so long as a spirit of mutual acceptance exists, believers may, in this Group, express differences of opinion. Divisive individuals will be removed from the Group as there are probably other platforms here at UA where they may feel more comfortable and find those who are more affable in their fellowship with them.
